TeamGym is a standout competition that has grown tremendously in recent years. Both women’s and men’s teams and mixed teams compete in TeamGym. There are three different types of competitions in the sport: fast-paced vaults on a vaulting track, flying vaults from a trampoline and a musical freestyle programme.
TeamGym is one of the official sports of the Finnish Gymnastics Federation and Finnish teams have succeeded well in international competitions. The sport is particularly popular in the Nordic countries. At Espoon Telinetaituri, TeamGym can be practiced at both hobby and competitive levels.

The seasonal bulletins contain the start and end dates of the season, special arrangements for holidays and dates, as well as the date of the EsTT Christmas Show.
All TeamGym recreational groups will perform at the Christmas show. In the autumn, the information concerning the Christmas show and the Christmas show rehearsal will be provided separately to the group gymnasts by email. At the end of the spring season, there will also be a spring show for the TeamGym recreational group. Participants will be informed of the shows via email.
BEGINNER groups are for girls and boys who have no particular background in gymnastics. The groups train once a week for 1-1.5 hours at a time.
There are no skill requirements and training starts with basic gymnastic moves, such as cartwheels, rolls and handstands, with the challenge increasing throughout the season.

The group trains twice a week, 1.5 hours each time, and competes once in the autumn and once in the spring.
Currently, the competitive recreational group is only for 13-17 year olds, but in the autumn of 2019, a 10-12 year old competitive recreational group will also be established.

TeamGym TRAINING
The TRAINING group is a suitable hobby group for anyone over the age of 16, regardless of their entry level. TeamGym provides a fun addition to one’s weekly sports activities, develops fitness and mobility levels, and challenges both first-time and former competitors. Handstands, cartwheels and vaults will become familiar to everyone during the season, and even more challenging tricks will be included in the training, according to one’s own level. There is meaningful practice for both first time gymnastics and former competitors!
